The options that we recommend to do as a couple are:

1.The Tree House (El Columpio del Fin del Mundo)

 It's definitely an Instagrammable place to take your best pictures.

The famous Banos Tree House Swing is a small tree on top of a hill with a large swing that has the best view of the Tungurahua volcano.

You can get there either by bus, private car or on foot. The entrance fee to the tree house is $1.00 USD.

2. Walking through the city centre

Baños de Agua Santa is a small town but with many recreational options both during the day and at night. We recommend you explore the town and enjoy the atmosphere of Baños at both times.

Be sure to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Agua Santa and the Museum of the Basilica of Agua Santa

3. Waterfalls Route 

La Ruta de las Cascadas", another of the great attractions and must-do's in Baños.
The route runs 18 km from Baños to Río Verde. The Ruta de las Cascadas is the number one reason why you should visit Baños; there are more than dozens of waterfalls along this route.

You can rent a bicycle or go by "Chiva", which is a rustic handmade bus used in Ecuador. 

The waterfalls along the route are: Puerta del Cielo waterfall, Manto de la Novia waterfall, Agoyán waterfall, Guamal waterfall, San Pedro waterfall and of course the Pailón del Diablo. 

 

4. Terminal Pools in Baños de Agua Santa

The thermal pools were the original reason that put Baños on the map as a national and international tourist destination. Natural pools with medicinal properties are everywhere, both outside and inside the city.

The most famous spa is the Termas de la Virgen, which is located near the waterfall "Cabellera de la Virgen", in the centre of Baños.
The thermal baths are open from Monday to Sunday from 4:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The entrance fee is $2USD per person.

5. Hand of Pachamama 

This viewpoint is a piece of art with a platform that resembles a hand painted in a very special way and giving recognition to the nature that surrounds Baños.
La Mano de la Pachamama is located within the complex "El Vuelo del Cóndor" in the sector of Runtún, 7 km from the centre of the city of Baños.

Entrance to the Mano de la Pachamama is $5.00 USD per person.

6. The Magic Village

An open-air museum set in a charming Goblin Garden that invites you to connect with nature.

La Aldea de los Duendes is an educational walk, whose main objective is to promote ecological awareness. In this way, visitors come into contact with the magical world of the essential beings (elves, gnomes, fairies and elves), the first ecologists, who, according to mythology, have the task of protecting nature.
