Puyopungo is a place far away from the city, located about 20 minutes by car from the canton Puyo, it belongs to the parish Pomona, province of Pastaza, it is considered as secondary jungle.
This place has exotic sites such as waterfalls and trails, you can also live an experience to know Quechua communities, their customs and traditions, the members of this community will welcome you with a drink called "chicha de yuca" while they tell you their history, knowledge and way of life.
On the way you will visit an animal refuge known as Tarqui Zoo, where most of the animals of the Amazonian fauna that were rescued from species trafficking live, such as: jaguars, pumas, caimans, monkeys, macaws, parrots, ocelots, agoutis, tapirs, capybaras, turtles, lions, among others.
The next stop on the tour is the trail to visit the waterfall "Hola Vida" where after a walk accompanied by the guide where he gives you an explanation about the medicinal plants of the place.
To finish nothing like a visit to the "Mirador de Indichuris" known for its excellent view of the Pastaza River, where you can appreciate an excellent sunset in the middle of nature.
