Observation of the Tungurahua Volcano

The history of this viewpoint dates back to 1999, when the inhabitants of the town of Baños de Agua Santa were evacuated due to the eruption of the Tungurahua Volcano.

In this place you could see the volcano when it was active, also known as the safe zone of Baños, it is one of the best viewpoints towards the volcano.
It is located in the sector of Las Antenas, about 20 minutes by car from the terminal.

The Ojos de Volcán viewpoint is strategically located to watch over the volcano, at an altitude of 2,708 metres above sea level.

This viewpoint is special for photographers who can have a better view of the Tungurahua volcano and get an incredible picture.

How to get to the Ojos del Volcán viewpoint?

If you are in the centre, you can head towards the Terminal de Baños, crossing the San Francisco point in the direction of the Antenas sector.
